Thought I had a naff battery so changed it. It would turn over slow some times, six months later it wouldn't start so called AA. Bloke says no its your starter mate, got one changed it, and its ace now. But what I want to say is " what an arse of a ******* job it was to do.

its funny you should mention this as mine has gone today, don't suppose you took pics of the job as you did it did you?

Without removing anything :naughty
Undo the top bolt from above in engine bay
Jack it up on front right side & get under & undo the bottom bolt & connectors

Or

Take off wheel & inner arch & go straight in from the there

Nearly there, my alternator went last week....... Just bad week for us :augie

No worries, after bad weather good weather....... well from what I heard :thumb2
 
hi i had wheel of and went in from there to get at bolts
but starter got to go up to come out
 
well got the starter out but while i was there discovered i need to replace roll bar linkages and bushes :doh oh well just got to wait for the starter to be reconned then fit it back in, will have to get the new parts and fit them i think while i wait
