stalling /cutting out

HI FAITHFULL SOUNDS .
have you had the truck long ? has this problem got worse ? have you changed fuel filter ? does it still cut out if you put it in neutral and coast to a halt.
HAVE A LOOK AT WORKSHOP DOWNLOADS (WD.10) MINI FUEL FILTER.
This has been a problem many members have had and cleaning this mini filter has cured most running problems.
PLEASE BE VERY CAREFULL REMOVING AND REFITTING BANJO BOLT AS THE THREADS ARE EASY STRIPPED .

Hi ian

have replaced fuel filter but some time ago it still cuts out even coasting to a stop has been fine untill a few weeks ago but will check out mini filter many thanks for the info  havent changed anything so am puzzled been running fine up this point

hi Faithfulsounds.
the mini fuel filter has a very fine gauge gause that collects all the stuff fuel filter misses the rubbish has been likened to the fluff out of yer pocket ,presumably fibers out of fuel filter. you have to dig realy deep to find it although if the spring is missing filter probrably will be as well.
before getting this far ahead though have a look at your fuel pipes sometimes a small rust hole will appear and let air into fuel line ..if you find a problem cut out the rusted erea and use a rubber fuel pipe to replace it
make sure you use hose clamps to prevent air getting in.
