sheilas disco has developed a squeak on the steering , also sometimes the indicator stalk sticks and wont cancel , the squeak is coming from the top of the steering wheel .....ive tried squirting it with wd 40 and it stops for a few minutes , but then starts again ....... any ideas ?

ps , its a 1993 200 series tdi auto 3 door if that helps

its like a plastic on plastic or rubber on rubber sort of squeak

Take away the plastic top n bottom housing n take it out for a spin :nenau

do i have to take the steering wheel off to remove the cowling , or can i just unscrew it ?

bluddie heck that was difficult !!! , i only managed to get one screw out ( and i dropped it .... took 10 mins to find it )...... all the screws are in recesses and hard to find when you cant lay down well , but anyway i got one out ...... and the squeak has topped !!!! :naughty
