My clutch has sometimes had a squeak that i can feel through the pedal,so today i decided to give it a good look at and a spray with some wd40.
The bracket it fine, but it squeaked even more when i sprayed it,so i have bought some spray grease and it seems to be getting quiter.
Was just wondering if there is some sort of ajustment on the rod that goes onto the pedal from the hydrolic cylinder.
It feels as though it is maybe going to far,or maybe something (a seal) is going in the clutch housing.
There is no hydrolic fluid loss or leakage at rod!

Hi Cosmic i cut a thread on this last week, look to see if your plastic bushes are worn cos thats whats wrong with mine, trouble is if you leave it it will run metal to metal then it may cause burrs and elongated holes causeing more work and hassell :(

Just been down to Newcastle for the day,and gave the clutch pedal another squirt with grease before i went.
Seems to have stopped for now, think the wd40 just dried it out!!
Bushes and bracket look fine, felt like a dry seal!!

Mine has been like this for a while now. Tried the WD 40 thing but didn't seem to work. The pedal eventually stopped returning on occasions. I eventually changed the Slave cylinder and so far so good.

knotting-pot,

sounds like my clutch has went the same as yours, it doesnt like to return on most occasions.
how easy is it to replace the slave cylinder and where did you purchase yours?

Thanks

Well,my clutch is making that same noise/feeling again,it feels like it could be a dry seal!! how easy is it to change the seals in the master cylinder,or would it be easier/cheaper to change to whole cylinder, and how easy is it to change the master cylinder?
Do you have to bleed the system,or is it like the power steering and bleeds itself?

oh dear!! Funnely it has stopped again, what a pain

Local motor factor charged me £35 for slave cylinder easy job to do. Now found the master cyl leaking and so I'm looking for a seal kit for this. I suspect that the master cyl was the problem all along. On the plus side I have now mastered the art of changing gear without the clutch! Once I am moving I might add!
