To save me stripping down my T2 tonight does anyone know if the speedo is cable or electrical. I'm guessing cable.

If its cable is there anyway of getting a digital signal needed for a GPS toy that Ive got?

Its electronic - are you having probalems or just looking to pick up a trigger for your toy?

The details on which plug is what, speed sensor, reverse switch, transfer etc are in the manual - HERE

If you're having intermitent display problems check and clean (contact cleaner) all the plugs, I found it was the reverse light switch that was effecting my dash display, not sure why, they may share a common earth or something.

Yes - it was disconnected when I bought the car but never noticed that reverse light wasn't working. When I got round to trying to sort the intermitent dash I noticed it unplugged, cleaned it up, reconnected and dash problems went away.

For the benefit of the 'round headlight' community, we're talking semi-digital display here aren't we, i.e. the dash with the digital mileage/trip...cos the older version is cable driven isn't it?

Does anyone know where the vehicle speed sensor is on a ZD30DDti?

Ive tapped off the back of the speedo but this does not seem to be working.so I want to tap into the blue wire the other side of the VSS (E209)

Gearbox.

Rearward connector is reversing light switch.

One in transfer box is position sensor.

Other one is speed pickup
