Hi Guys,

I need a new speedo Cable, can't find one on ebay when I type "terrano speedo cable".

Any help would be appreciated, I would love to order one today.

help !!!!!

So what is connected to the clock ?

And the mechanic checked the sensor in the gear box and said it's fine.

I changed the speedo clock and same problem happened.

whats happening then Seb?

old same

Same than in one of my post.

Speedo is about 20km over then when at about 120k/h it says 140km/h and get crazy to 180k/h (maybe I have the fastest jeep ever)

I bought a second hand clock and it does exactly the same. so it's not the speedo clock, and not the sensor in the gear box.

there is a long cable going from behind the clock down under the car, when it was a taxi I removed the "taxi counter" from there. And speedo never worked then

well I always thought there was a cable of some sort in the back of my older T2 but its been a long time :) I mean surely it wouldn't need a speed sensor if there was a mechanical connection via a cable? But what do I know....:(

Better wait until an eggspurt comes along....:thumb2

i seem to remember someone saying there is a part that attaches to the rear wheels to compensate for the abnomalities , different teeth spacings or summat

i had a merc 300td auto ex taxi when i took taxi meter out it left a gap in speedo cable outer sheaf,i fixed this with a piece of biro and gaffer taper to hold the two ends back apart, speedo worked then.navara is a sensor with wires,it dont work coz the wires ripped out about 2 yrs ago!

why not whip the instrument binnacle off first, its not difficult and at least you can check if the cable is securely in the back of the speedo (I think there is one but as I said, it was all so long ago LOL).
