I was beginning to wonder if I had a leak in the car, the front screen would mist up easy, so I had a look around and found the dreaded wet front passenger carpet, had a quick check on here and went to work on it.
Removed the wipers and trim and then the cover and yes, the foam gasket was flat and you could see where it had been leaking, now sealed and fitted back together.
Result and thanks to the guys who have done the fix in the past as your advise/old posts were spot on:thumb2

Any one got a spare black plastic cover that fits over the wiper arm nuts, I found out that you have to shut them down before you lift the bonnet:doh:doh, it shot off into the hedge and is cracked in half:(

haha done this before!!!! cncfabs or shropshireterranobreaker are your go to guys for parts

alos I've managed to figure out why my motor was steaming up too :D, I found out that shutting my CB aerial cable in the back door was leaving a gap big enough to allow the car to steam up, going to run another conduit through the roof I think before I get the roof lining back in

Just seen it mate :) yeah I thin it was the CB cable combined with the fact I've got no roof lining in there still lol, but the CB aerial cable was causing a lot of it!!!

Just wondering which gasket you are talking about as I have had a slight leak now and again on the passengers side?

Hi, It's a cover that lives under the plastic piece that sits between the windscreen and the bonnet, you have to remove the wiper rms and 3 screws, you can then move the plastic cover.
What you will see is a metal cover on the passenger side, it's held on with 4 screws, remove it and you will see the gasket i'm on about. I cleaned the area and then re-sealed it.

Cool thanks, I had the plastic trim off a few weeks ago looking at the wiper arm mount which is badly warn. I will have to make a bush for it as I am not paying the £40 odd for a new one.
