Cool, so basically, Ive done the rear shockies yesterday, which went ok.

Im at work tomorrow, and I quite fancy doing the front shockies myself, didnt really want to hassle the tech unless I have to.

Can someone just give me a quick list of what i need to do to remove em (in theory)

1) Jack up front of car??
2) remove wheels?
3) remove top and bottom mounts of shockies (one at a time)?
4) fit new shockies
5) drive off into sunset? :augie

I only have 4 hours you see, and bare in mind im looking after the service department by myself... :doh

the more info you can spare would be lovely :kissy

Get out and spray them with rust ease or similar penetrating oil NOW !
The bottom bolt can be a right bitch if it's rusted in. Use a good fitting socket and work the nut and bolt but watch for the steel bending
Oh and don't let go of the shocker string till you're ready to fit, and then don't be gay with it :)

Which bit of steel work likes to bend the fixing point on the bottom arm ? whats the best way around it just I think mine will need replacing next year so want to know the best way to attack it:augie

Cheers for the comments all :thumb2

I've been spraying em with rostoff since Tuesday so hopefully they will come undone easily.

Do I need to worry about jacking at certain points? And will it sag once i remove the shockie?

And lastly, what bit of metal can twist? :nenau

Aye just one bolt and nut at the bottom and one nut at the top. Simple as :D
Just take the wheel off and all will become clear. You can also look at the manual http://f9x.co.uk/briggie/workshop.html

No good im afraid, download failed... Might for because I'm on the pad.

I will have a nose tomorrow though.

Do I need to jack up anything else (apart from to lift wheels :nenau)

Typical i anything :nenau why cant they ever cope with the free world :lol
Just jack it up , oik the wheel orff and dump those bloody dampers :freak3:

Lol that's exactly what they said for the rears n I made a right mess of it. I don't have long to tackle it you see.

I take it i bolt on the top mount first?
