reminds me of UK 1963.......... I was there, six weeks of below freezing weather, no central
heating, feeble car heater, freezing fog......... and a outside lavvie. My mam used to send me out " go sit on the toilet bri and warm it for yer dad, he's not so well today"

I was thinking about that the other day - I was nine at the time and the snow laid with us for nearly two months, the front of our house was buried up to the first floor windows, and that was in he middle of an estate!......do you remember it raining and leaving quarter of an inch of ice all over the already deep snowdrifts?
