Can anyone give me some advice regarding how to replace a snapped rear stud? can it be done in situ without having to replace the rear hub?

Cheers

Yes im sure there is enough room to knock them out.Could be much worse front ones you need to strip whole hub and brakes out.Be aware when ordering new ones fronts and backs are different

Is it just a case of hit it out with a big hammer and a punch. How about replacing them. Does the wheel nut pull it through. I'll bet mine is stuck solid

when i changed mine on my old vw i used an open ended spanner which just about fitted over the thread then used the wheel nut to pull it thru. do not use your favourite spanner tho.

Well that ain't going to be a quick hammer it out job, just had a quick go before I go out. Any tips appreciated thanks.

Got a bit down about this one as it looks a real pig from the manual so booked it in at a local garage on Monday for the stud doing and the rear brakes checking too. Fingers crossed there's not a big bill.
