And this is not how to recover a well stuck motor, I recovered it with the help of another winch motor but only stills I am afraid, Rick http://youtu.be/Ha6UGHqSOUs

This is how I got him moving, winch line on the left goes to the first block then back down on the right to a second block on a tree then back to his strap, but only got him moving with this set up before winch heat heat cut out came into operation, there was only the minimum 8 turns on the drum, so if you look there is another rope further right, this went to the next pic , Rick

With this guys help he came out easy, so all in all a great day out although not so much mud about, Rick

Incidentally did not see Bongoberry, and cannot seem to find his thread, but I was mostly in the outback or the sand pit both places you would not want to take a road going motor, Rick

only one word, "perfect", but will need to do something with the rear diff and really will have to remove the fuel tank, it hit so hard today more than once, Rick

Sorry chaps. (my thread is over in events)

I arrived later than i had hoped (kids in tow) and spent a fair bit of time letting them "stretch their legs" so kept out of the way most of the time. We also had to abscond for lunch, but I managed to drag them back for 30 minutes in the afternoon before we had to head back (both kids asleep in the back)

I'll be going again.

The LOKKA performed brilliantly - perhaps better than i had hoped. The steering is VERY heavy though - you can most certainly feel the difference in traction.

Luckily never got stuck, had plenty of OMG articulation moments too.

The only improvements I'd be looking to make would be
- move the exhaust out of the way somehow (without being deafened)
- seek more articulation and/or replace bumpers with metal

Some places I wanted to go but knew that I just did not have the clearances and would have ripped something off again....
