Its soon MOT time :eek: my first with this truck and my first with a diesel.

Any hints and tips gratefully accepted but theres one thing I am concerned about.

I've seen mention lots of times about sills and problems with them. What is the problem and whats the best way to deal with them ?

Be surprised if you had any problems on an 02 plate but it never hurts to add a bit of protection.
 
The sills rot at the back where it drops down. Mine were showing corrosion on the outside so I had a piece cut out and an a bit welded in. If you slide your fingers along the back of the sill you will feel grommets, these can be pulled off and oil or waxol squirted in. bri

talking about the old orange stuff, both my passengers footwells are rotten and the seam behind the brake servo all caused by mysterious water leaks i cannot seem to find. i also need an offside wing does anybody know where i can get one. to weld up all my little rat holes i am going to take out the front carpets and the noise silencing stuff which is more like a sodden sponge,any ideas where i can get some new carpets from,it would be a real pleasure to chuck the old ones out. ta. andeone ps.if i take some photos of the job being done could someone please explain how i get them onto the site.
