The bulb seems to have failed in the drivers side repeater indicator.

I can't seem to see anyway of removing it, and before I start prising it off with a screwdriver, or similar, I would be grateful if someone could shed some light (no pun intended) on how to get to the bulb?

Thanks

Alan

on the older terrano, you simplu get a thin screwdriver or something similar in the side under the rubber and pries it out, i can't see nissan changing the design on the newer ones

Hi.

The side repeaters have the same fitment as the Primera GT I used to own.

They are designed to be pushed back against the springy piece of plastic (L/H side on picture above) enough to allow you to pull the other side out from the wing.

I hope that makes sense. The first time you take them out, they will be tight. (In fact, on my GT, I didn't want to scratch the paintwork, so I removed the inner wings and easily pushed them out from the inside)

the difficult part is feeling which way you need to push them. you should feel the plastic flexing. The other way will feel solid.

Brian.

Top response guys, and thank you for all your help.

96Terrano the image is really helpful, and Dynamics your explanation makes perfect sense.

Thanks and Regards

Just a quick update....

Indicator came out fine just need a replacement bulb now.

Anyone know what it is

Regards

Alan

That's the one, but in orange. The bulb says 12v 5w. Quick search on eBay came up with a myriad of them.

I have got the bulb out, and tested it for continuity, and it appears to be OK. I'll test for power at the plug tonight to see if there is some further problem with the electrics.

Thanks

Alan
