But have not slept for 2 nights, food poisoning is my guess, whatever I am going nowhere apart from the chemist for some dioralite and some sleeping pills, Rick

poor you watch and smell what you eat,you are old enough to know whats good or bad.feel well soon though.
i had something while away with van and could not go anywhere for 4 days or far from loo, good job it was only a few feet away.i put that down to chicken but i always inspect food befor cooking.

In my case it was not properly cooked pork steaks they were rare in the middle but looked OK round the outside , so I left the middle thought it would be OK, clearly not, but feel a lot better today, my biggest problem is lack of sleep, was tempted to take a pill and crash out this afternoon but decided against that as I really do want to sleep tonight, Rick

I've broken bones, twisted and sprained body parts, been stabbed, fell from height onto concrete floors and out of trees, fell off / crashed motorcycles and once I had food poisoning. By far the worst pain I've have ever experienced. Poisoned by a plated up Sunday roast pork dinner from the mother n law! Only ever had it that time and never ever want it again. I feel your pain Rick. I think my back side resembled a torn out fire place that day and the stomach pains....... I'm sweating just thinking about it. It was and has been the only time I've had a doctor out to me :end_of_discction:

Hope you feel better soon, drink plenty of fluids, not alcohol, when you feel slightly better, try some toast.

Rustic

Rick,
Sorry to hear of your misery mate.....:(

Managed to contract campylobacter once.......ghastly experience.

As Uncle says...keep up the fluid levels and rest.....:thumb2

I wouldn't want to be sleeping too heavily with a bout of food posioning. There could be a terrible mess.
Room temperature, flat Coca Cola has always worked for me when trying to get my appetite back.
Take it easy and get well soon.

Yes to the coke.

Try to avoid any tablets for the runny bottom. It's there for a reason.
Lots of fluids :thumb2

I've heard from a few people that have had food poisoning before that still Mango juice is really good to stop the pains and cramps, as for the squits, you'll just have to ride that out mate.

Fingers crossed it passes soon mate and I'm sure you'll make up for it next time you go :naughty

Thanks all, I will give the Mango Juice a go, but have not slept for three nights, doin me in now:down: Rick

hey ho peeps, completely back to normal (very glad about that I might say) thanks for the mango juice advice worked a treat, back on the scotch now so no need of totally useless sleeping pills that after taking double dose gave me only 4 hours sleep, and a severe headache, (something I never have) also for those worried about disasters in bed, we have a water bed so quick and easy clean up whatever the event, not that there have ever been such events but that is one of the advantages of a heated waterbed, whatever I am now firing on all 6 cylinders, thank you all for your support and advice, I do not want to feel like that again especially the less than 20 seconds to get to the loo, Rick

I hope it's not "his" juice he's offering
Glad you're back up and running Rick. :thumb2

Good on you Rick!!! Yeah the Mango juice trick is fantastic :naughty

Whatever Panelbeater offers you DO NOT drink it, I went cross eyed for 2 hours :lol

A few weeks after that meet was when I made the decision not to drink again, not just because of Panelbeaters moonshine but it certainly helped to confirm my decision
