Well, by this time tomorrow we'll have a monster of a JGC and for first time in almost
15 years no Nissan.

Not saying never again to a Nissan, but just not for now. The Jeep reminds us of
the Patrol in someways whilst usefully more compact.

It's got a cracking drive train with the Mercedes OM642 V6 3L TD and I gather a
tough Merc 5 speed auto with the Quadradrive II full time 4wd system.

Suspension is quite like Terrano IFS/SRS but front coils not torsions.

Looks like been owned by a caravanner with twin electrics on towbar ready to go!

As for the Terrano it goes in on PX.

Welcome to the JCC section of this club !

Pleased to hear you have found a suitable Jeep Grand Cherokee - not sure how many of us there are on this site.

Need some pictures soon please !

What no pics???.... c'mon you know the rules :p :lol

:thumb2:thumb2, quadradrive is supposed to be ace

hope so, been watching youtubes of them on demo courses and in wild and think
nearest would be terrano having a front lokka as well.

like idea on road just put in drive and it sorts itself out, even with manual hubs the
mrs has never been happy with 2 to 4wd, atleast having the lsd has given an almost
4wd compared to a vehicle with 2 open diffs.

Congratulations... They are formidable vehicles... Although, I have a story about towing the caravan with ours that turn your hair grey...

What I want to know is, would you have had the same incident in a Terrano?

Not in "My" Terrano!!!

The Jeep was fantastic, it would be able to go absolutely anywhere, and with the gadgets and power, it would out perform the Terrano with ease...

But...

In my ones case, it does not have the ground clearance, and being a lot wider, does not like rutted routes, as it can only get one side in, and the other side is always trying to climb out. The main problem was my own making, the side steps took a lot of punishment as they caught on "Break over", and in gullys they dragged on the edges.

Suz's had a drive, and now wants me to do a Suspension lift... :lol

Got it.

got it, will miss that T2, its power superb, but this 3L has even more....

Welcome to the Keep Grand Cherokee Owners section.lol

Looking good... Hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying my WK2 :thumb2

Hoping so, it is certainly turning heads and that's before they hear the OM642 burble.

Was thinking how many firsts it is for us.

First Jeep, first 200+bhp, first non L4 engine - well had V8 in RRC and my parents
had an L6 wolsey 2200 for a while. First auto, well since I had an auto Maestro 30
years ago. First power seats. Like idea that there must be tons of them in States
so plenty of modding kit if go that way.

Next job is getting caravan on back, oh reminds me best get number plate made...

Pity couldn't keep Terrano could have handy as spare and for tip runs, going to
have to look for a trailer that work now.
