HI we went out Sat for a couple of hours Sheila drove a few lanes including
Dirklow Rake - PINDALE Brough Lane - Bretton Lane - Sir William Hill Rd - Plague Lane.
Coming along Brough lane there is a new sign at Duper Lane .
RESTRICTED BYWAY.
Although 8 MOTOR CROSSES went atraight on .
We found a good Chip Shop in Stoney Middleton.

Ian - which bit are you calling Duper Lane? Surely thats the yellow road that leads up to the top of Brough and Shatton Lanes. They can't have made that RB - can they?

HI SIMON.
BELOW IS A SECTION IVE CUT AND PASTED FROM CAMERAMAN
So untill this mess is sorted, and I think now it is, the top 500 yards of Shatton will remain a restricted byway and will not be driven again on any club outing or by me on my own.

However, the bottom of Shatton remains open as access to the radio mast, so anyone wanting to see the fabulous views may drive it, up to the gate 500 yards below the top turn around and drive back

Brough lane reamins open so in future we will still ascend or descend this hill, but enter/exit via Duper lane(a short narrow tarmac section)

Thanks Ian, just wanted to check as I'm passing the info on to the GLASS forum, opinion on ther seems tobe that the CC decision is highly questionable and would probably be over thrown in court, but it needs someone to drive it and be prosecuted for doing so.
