Hello Shaggy, Welcome again.

What’s the X-Trail like then?, Will they be the replacement of the Terrano?

How does it the performance and have you owned a Terrano or Maverick before to be able to compare them?.

I know yours is like new and so far so good from what you have said but i wonder if it we be a trouble free relationship for you!.
I do hope it is.

Mav.

ive not had a good time with nissan in the past :?
i bought a serena new from carnell's in doncaster and it was the biggest bag of crap i have ever had the missfortune to own!
after 12 months of grief i lost £3k and gave it back
i then bought a renault espace did 100,000 miles on top of the 120k it already had before some scrotes stole it to chop up
the police found 5 doors and the stearing wheel along with £500k worth of choped exotics 6 people went to jail
i then bought a shogun 2.8 and 2 years flew past without a problem
a couple of non important cars in between
then i bought the hilux surf 3.0l td
2 weeks into owning it i noticed it threw out more steam on a morning than thomas
£1400 and a new head later it gave me 2 years of trouble free smile on your face motoring
it went anywhere but was thirsty
now we come (good god man!! at last lol) to this new car

a mate of mine(shopkeeper) bought a 2002 x-trail new and i always liked it
i just loved the fact that the designers had actually had a brainstorming session about keeping cans of pop cool!!
so everytime i have seen him i have asked how the x-trail is running
apart from services they have spent nothing and this car does the cash & carry everyday and is on its backside everyday!
a mate at work bought a mark 2 6 months ago to pull his caravan and rated it
so why i bought one . . . . .
well another mate bought a new one 08 arctic explorer extreme auto
i went in it and liked the look of it
the opertunity came up for me to spend £20k on a car
i could have had a navara/pathfinder etc or a couple year old patrol but even though the company pay for my fuel i still whinced at £100 a week in derv
so i looked at the x-trail
i wanted 1 with all the toys
my car is the aventura explorer
it had 4600 miles on and is an ex nissan owned vehicle
i bought one with leather and bi-zenon instead of roof lights & sidesteps
it is now 20 miles short of 5500 miles
im not too sure of the power assisted clutch to be honest but will get used to it i suppose along with the 6 speed box
its the 2.0 dci and is very nippy being 150 bhp the 173 bhp is a £1k dearer apparently
(just a note it says 173bhp on the hpi report but nissan maintain its a 150)
i will eventually have mine remaped up to around 180 bhp but thats another thread altogether

went to birmingham last weekend and got 42 mpg doing 68 ish mph on cruise
coming back did 73/74 and it managed 39 mpg
been doing 80-90 on way to work and been getting 33-34
so all in all not that bad
i have not had time to read the destructions so cant really comment on anything else apart from i really like the keyless entry/ignition
auto wipers
auto lights
panoramic-ish sunroof
the sat nav is excellent apart from no postcode for some reason
im on holliday for a week in the morning (eurodisney) so wont be on but will update the peeps a i go on
anyone wishing to have a look or drive(under supervision) are more than welcome to pm me to arrange this
i will be going off road (shooting etc) when i have more time so will let you know if i manage to break it
