Hi all, since my fuel leak debacle and now all is fixed my t2 seems to have lost some of its power when pulling off, it just doen't seem as fast as it used to, anybody got any ideas?

let the hand brake off:lol:lol
i had to repair my fuel in july and ever since it was done the motor seems to have had an issue when sat at idle.the revs used to drop then go back up.changed the fuel filter and it got rid of that but it vibrates like mad when sat at idle and sometimes feels like its going to stall.
before i start spending loads of money i'm going to change the complete fuel lines for copper and see if that helps as i think the rubber hose i used is not big enough so could be starving it of fuel.
think its 8mm.its what was left over when i repaired my petrol one.
sounds like you are a bit like me as i can be driving along then i start thinking was that a knock or did i re tighten that nut properly,etc,etc.
my mrs will say i'm just being paranoid........last time she said that the clutch damper pipe exploded:eek:
try the primer pump to see if it has gone soft again and make sure the clamps used on the repair are fuel line ones not just cheapo jubilee clips.

You said in the other thread it sucks lots of air in when you undo the filler that creates vacuum in the tank causing fuel startvation look at the breather or try driving with the cap off

It only did that once, its never done it again since

MAF! really affect low speeds like setting off, so fingers crossed it just needs a clean...
