hi, what do you use to secure/lock car, caravan, house.
reason i ask, was researching to buy a fireproof safe for home and on one of the sites there was a link to u tube where i found out how to make a set of lock picks, and how to make bump keys to open any lock be it car caravan or home.
intrigued i then went to google put in( bump keys ) i then find out i can purchase a complete set of bump keys/ and a set of lock picks. amazed, sickened, to think why do i bother to lock anything up, also begs the question if the (yes i will say person) does do not do any damage to doors would the insurance company say you must have left doors unlocked.

what a world we live in waste of time even locking things up.

As I sell tools to the motor trade I can easily put my hanbs on the car lunlock sets - there is absoutely no security over who can buy these - as you say sickening.

not wishing to appear ignorant, what does one of these sets consist of?

Mate of mine went on a certain course that didnt teach them how to pick locks etc but did do a few good demos that he repeated.

Best one, he opened without damage an expensive and I mean expensive padlock with a coke can ring pull

Its always been said, hasnt it, that locks are for honest people only :(

However I would say having had a shot that using "lock pick gear" as opposed to the brute force kit is an art. Not everyone can do it. Owning the gear and claiming to capable is like having a set of chinese 8 to 19mm spanners and nowt else whilst claiming to be able to service any vehicle ;)

The average scrote carries nothing more sophisticated than a screwdriver, hammer and perhaps mole grips.

Sleep easy ;)

I think daved is right dont worry too much as the average burglar sual stealing to feed a drugs habbit, doesnt invest in eqipent and training but just the bare essentials and brute force.

For example the recent trend in car theft by smashing into the house and stealing the keys, and of course car jacking, if they had the sense to equip themselves properley none of that would be needed, hence proving daved's point.
