Second Battery Placement

OK guys in the early Terranos there was a big space behind the LH headlight just right for fitting a second battery which incidentally works great. Unfortunately Nissan saw fit to fit the washer bottle there on the later trucks:doh

So with this in mind, any ideas about a later truck second battery.

My son suggested getting washer bottle from an older truck and fitting bottle below RH inner wing.

My thought was same as your son´s idea. I also though about building a box underneath one of the front seats. As long as it's not the lowest point you should be OK (I think).

Yep same place as mine on the project truck Rustic. Sadly the later models have a washer bottle there instead.

I'm looking at fitting a split charge system at some point and re-locating my washer bottle, going to get an old one and mount it where it is on Rustics, will only be a case of drilling some holes to mount it and hopefull the hose sizes will be the same , if not I'd get some Tefen hose reducer/enlarge connectors.

Then I'll buy another battery tray and have a battery already to go into it :naughty

Unfortunatly this job is a long long way down my list

Got me thinking and a quick search brought up chassis mounted battery trays. Not had time to see if there are any uk sellers or if we are even allowed to mount them this way but for ideas here are a few links. Depending on off road usage I guess.
