Hi all, I'm wanting to fit a second battery on the later truck we have. On the older truck there's loads of space behind the Left Hand headlamp. Unfortunately the later trucks have a washer bottle there instead. Problem is that even if I removed the washer bottle and fitted say an earlier bottle there is still less room behind the head lamp on the later truck.
Has anyone else fitted a second battery on a later truck?

I'm resigned to the fact that I'll have to fit an agm battery and keep it in the boot. It's not a huge problem as there should be space alongside the bed frame and there aren't nasty gas problems. Even with a standard battery, there are only nasty gases when charging, so good ventilation should sort that. But yeah, there's no way of getting one in the engine bay unless it's small.

A standard battery size is pretty much similar to the car battery maybe a little smaller. I reckon it's going to have to be in the boot but made removable. Pity really as I've just had a weekend camping in the project truck and found the second battery really useful.

Years ago we had a Citroen xsara Picasso and the battery was under the front passenger seat.:nenau
Just chucking ideas out there.

The 110ah battery I ordered is here and I have had it on the charger ready for going on the caravan :D, should I be so exited about a new battery? :lol. Anyway it's a bit of a beast so I will more than likely order the next size down for the truck which is 90ah, what do you reckon?, 90ah enough?

Hi,
Is there room under the truck to fit one. Depends on off road usage I guess but did look a while back and came across brackets used on campervans I think.

Now theres a thought underneath? I'll have to take a look but a good idea.

Tdoug, think mines a 75ah. Does well but cool box took a lot of life out of it but I'd expect it to after a days use.
