Evenin' all !
I had three frayed seatbelts when I bought this truck, both the third row belts, which I have now replaced, and the passenger belt.
The passenger belt "tongue" has two holes in it.
I have been sent a belt from a breakers with only 1 hole in it.
Questions:
1. Why the different holes?
2. The "one hole" belt latches in the receiver securely, do you think I should use it?
3. As it is not possible to thread the belt (sewn) end back through the shoulder bracket and the "tongue", do you think it would be okay to enlarge the narrow slot with emery paper/cloth to thread it back through so I could use my existing bracket and tongue. The bracket and tongue are metal encased in plastic, so to my mind it would still be secure if I only sanded away some of the plastic coating.
