Scissor gear woes zd30

If by chance someone has forgotten to pin the scissor gear before removing the fuel pump gearing on a zd30, how would that said fool then get the tension back on the scissor gear, and pin it in the correct place?

Managed to get sorted. Figured out it would only rotate one direction and lost some skin in the process.
Got the 6 mm bolt in place so happy days.
