i think someone has sneaked over to my house and transplanted a jet powered engine in sally these last few days , she is running superb and over the last few days seems to have loads more power .... and i mean loads more power ....... come on own up , whos done it ? :nenau

one example ..... there is a long hill coming out of brighouse into huddersfield .... normally sally goes up there changing up and down gears .... but .... the last couple of days shes flown up there at 50+ no effort at all ...... come on own up whos done it ? :naughty

Ah, that'll be the extra weight in your right boot:augie
I always find that helps with the grin factor:thumbs

it is odd, what you say Pete. Rick changed the starter last job, was that it? didnt tighten any screws, replace any filters or something??

:thumbs

mine was better after sorting me alternator . maybe just cleaning connections has helped yours too....

but its got a bit colder recently and the evenings are drawing in . so you might find the colder air is giving you a bit too...

failing that you got a weeping head gasket and its letting a little steam in . that will give you a boost too.
very common power boost before head gasket failure . :augie

new lease of live Pete. Engine isnt struggling any more like it used to. No doubt theres been soem bedding-in time from all the recent work, perhaps the system has cleared itself and is now breathing a lot easier?

these cars are a mystery mate, like today, mine has also been running faultless. No idling issues, lots of power, all nice. no doubt tomorrow that will change...!

wouldn't worry pete. enjoy it

it'll be fine most likely colder damper air going in and clean electrics (like mine)
