Hi all I'm not on here much now as I sold my terrano and bought a modified pajero about 6 months ago. I'm generally on the http://www.fourwheeldriveclub.com and I thought some of you might like to know they are having a days offroading on Salisbury Plain on Saturday the 4th of October and are inviting anyone who has a 4x4 but has never taken it offroading before to take part.
Best thing is like all of the 4WDC’s events it’s free- You just have to join the club and put your name down (joining is free too!)

Its not offroading like you see in the films where people wheelspin around fields but in some ways is more like rambling for lazy people (with a bit more mud!)

It’s a chance to have a go in 4wheeldrive without the risk of damaging your paintwork and will be across country lanes and unsurfaced roads (greenlanes). You might get muddy but you won’t get dented.

I’ve been a member of 4wdc for a few months and they’re really nice bunch, I’ve been on a few of their events when I first got into trying my vehicle offroad and a nicer bunch you couldn’t meet.

I hope no one minds me posting this on here I just thought it was an ideal offer and Salisbury Plain is a brilliant place to play safely

All the best

Hi just what i need have joined up hope i can get along

thanks davemud

There are other regular events on there as well including some for the more extreme lovers so it is worth going over and having a browse around to see if anything else is up your street.

I'd love to see more Nissans over there as I've still got a soft spot for them and I think up to now there is 1 maybe 2 that I know of and I've never seen 1 on an event which is sad  as the range includes lada's, frontera, surfs, landcruisers etc etc

Having now joined this forum, I can confirm what a great day it was:D

I didn't take my X-Trail although I honestly believe it would have been fine ( a couple of sections may have needed a slight detour), instead I used my Shogun Pinin.

Next time out with the club, I'll be hopefully using my T2 Van.

Bob
