Just had our first caravan outing of the year, bit cool but enjoyed the caravan club site at Southport very convenient position, walk through park to town.
Caravan and terrano loaded with two bikes on rear door. Noticed that the t2 was low at the back, much lower than I remembered it from last year when we did many trips around Britain and Europe. Did not affect the handling but I dont like to see anything saggy  Anyone advise...coil springs or dampers? or buy my wife a new bike.....regards...bri

Check the bump stops havent fallen off over the winter should be a rubber behind each wheel mounted between the chassis and the axle

thanks waterman, I will have look. I have another post about air bag aids, but due to discussion on this post I think I have decided to replace the springs when I return from Virginia next month, I am told its an easy job.... regards...bri.....

Bri, let us know how you get on with changing the springs, I'd be interested in hearing how easy or hard it is to do.

saw some of those 'air bag aids' the other day, thought they were quite impressive. someone did a review on them for their landcruiser, link on the The Hubb.

theres also a good video here on the Matt Savage website.

although a terrano/maverick isnt listed, im pretty sure ive seen some somewhere for them, if not the isuzu trooper ones would probably fit

thanks whatmo, thats makes them £37 in real money! Im in the US for the next three weeks so I will have a look around the 4x4 dealers....I have found that the part numbers appear to be the same for US pathfinder and our Terrano.... regards....bri

If you buy these from the states via internet, bear in mind that HMRC via the courier might try and claim VAT (if applicable, probably is) and import duty on these items, so the cost could be somewhat higher. Added to that warranty issues and the UK costs might be worth considering. I've bought kit from the US before, and it is really important to assume VAT & duty will be added on import inot the country to check that it is still a real bargain.
