Sad day today , Finally decided to part with old faithfull, She has served me well for the last 7 years and pulled the caravans to numerous rallies up and down the Berriedale baes and Ord of Caithness but the time has come to finally replace the old Terrano - Be sorry to see her go :-( Still have her for a week or so yet but her days with me are now numbered - So long old friend!

Forgot to say she still has less than 87,500 miles on the clock !

Naaa - Succumbed to a VAuxhall Antara - I just love my Bedfords LOL

I just looked up Antara's as I had never heard of one, they look nice cars, I plan to have a look with a view to possibly getting one when one of our cars is due for an update. Let me know how it goes :thumb2

I wouldn't know what to replace our Mav with, probably the reason why we have kept it 17 years lol, oh and it's been the most reliable car so far.

Can't do body lifts and rock sliders for the Antara, but I bet I know a man who can. (solarman).:lol

I had a look at the Antara's on Autotrader, and they look like a nice easy to live with everyday motor. Top Gear's website reckon they're pretty good as well.

I think they have a towing capacity of 1700kg, which would be enough for most caravans, but just a bit to close for me.

It wouldn't be a T2 replacement, but would make a nice alternative to one of our other cars :thumb2

yeah seen them with 6 metre twin axles but look bit small to me even if within
the tow limit, suspect the advisory 85% ratio will take a bashig though of
course new cars are getting heavier.

pity about name as conjours up images of tank transporter tractor units.
