Any refrig engineers on here now????????????????????????

Hi all not often that I need help but went to change a compressor today that a while ago I diagnosed as shorting out, upon putting a line tap in to recover the 290 found it was empty, so cut out the compressor but dismayed to find brown water dripping from the pipes!!!!!!! after cutting the top off found water and little oil in the pump, fitted charging points to both ends of the system fed some gas in to see how much crap came out and got about 40 ml, so my question? can this system be recovered or is it to be confined to the scrap pile, (capillary tube by the way), if it can be recovered, how? I have found the cause of the water ingress and a simple fix, regards Rick

Well after having the vac pump on the system for more hours than I care to say I am still getting steam from the condenser, the evaporator and capillary tube is fine, so going to bin the condenser and fit another, Rick

New (used) condenser fitted, vac'd down and all is good but my plan to inject 95 grms gas did not work as canister accepted the gas but would not give it up, so stuck it in direct but no idea how much, think I overcharged it so bleeding it off now over time but have doubts on this as it seems to me the capillary could be part blocked as the pressures/temps are not adding up, time will tell, Rick

Had to give up on this one, the system is so contaminated that i am getting random blockages of the capillary tube the compressor throws a fit every time, and my vac pump is in a bad way after trying to sort this out, time to pack it in, Rick
