Rusty Sills

Just been cleaning the muck off the Terrano and found large rust bubbles towards the back of the sills on both sides. Does anyone know if this will be an MOT failure or is it cosmetic. Not going to do much with it now but come the warmer weather I want to get something done.

It depends on how far the rust has goneIf it's just surface rust then your laughing if not it may need patching up

if its a swb check you rear seat belt mounts as well.

Cheers Mrbliss but it's a lwb and had it's mountings done for last MOT in July. What ever I'm gonna do with those sills they can wait until the warmer weather comes.

when i was looking for the swb, all or most , i looked at ,had bubbling/rusty sills in this area...why, what causes it to rot here?
