Its happened. NO! Both door sills, drivers side as quite a bit on the join underneath the drivers door. and passenger side has fair amount of surface rust at rear near start of wheel arch. How long do I have before this completely rusts through? also drivers side wing tiny bubble coming through just above the trim! Not good is it?

NO.. mine is a 1999 and if you got it then i must have it too...

oh dear. ill not look just in case!!

I would get onto it as soon as you can Mundy as you might be able to slow the rot down:rolleyes:My 1999 has got quiet a bit developing & TBH I think it's heading to the welding stage soon:dohI would check down your bulkhead aswell as i've noticed mine has a few spots there aswell:doh

Wifeys 99-plater is going a bit; tailgate has 2-3 areas of bad rust at the bottom and one small area of surface rust on the door sill....only other place (which went ages ago) was the front bulkhead just below the screen - I've never seen it but the guy that did my windscreen (which cracked because of the expanding rust!) spotted it and slapped some gunge on it - that was five years ago and the screen has just cracked again in the same place recently so I guess its getting worse....I think you have to remove the plastic cover panel under the bonnet to get a look at it?

But what the hell - they are not significant areas and an ally or steel plate riveted on will get a few more years...

Oh JOY!. I had an L plate before and had no rust at all and that had 180,000 on clock!
May be new truck time! can't stand rust

My sills are badly bubbled at the back end of them but it really looks as if it has rusted inside out.
