Rust Stains

Having had the sills repaired I now have the task of refitting the side steps but they look tired. Typical rust staining on the stainless tubular section as well as on the aluminium platform.

Any ideas about cleaning the staining off please.

I have some of that autosolv stuff somewhere, just finding the dam stuff:doh
