I had been planning to buy some Neutrarust 661 rust convertor after reading good reports, but a product review in Practical Classics got me looking at the top two which were Hydrate 80 and Rustbuster FE-123.

BUT - after finding that the price of the latter almost doubled with VAT and delivery (FFS!:doh) I've ordered a litre of the Hydrate 80, initially to slap on the sills of the old Micra, but also to give the wifes Terrano (which has the cleanest underside I've ever seen) a good coating before stone-chipping it.

I'll let you know what its like to use. :thumb2

have you tried jenolite.navy use it on their ships ive used it on several motors.

Is it a convertor then Spudd? I'll have a Google at it.:thumb2

EDIT: Just checked the PC mag - they tested it too (its a rust treatment not a convertor and its the latter I was after)...it scored 8/10 compared to 9/10 for Hydrate80 and 10/10 for Rustbuster FE-123...but they are both convertors, i.e. they react chemically with the rust to form an impermeable non-rusting surface you can paint straight over.

I have found VACTAN to be pretty good, it's water based so easy to clean up brushes and stuff and it's a fair price!
