Well , don't say I don't keep you all busy, I could of wrote a novel with all the questions I've had this week.

Just gained a new clunk from the front (I now drive a big box of bangs and rattles now can't wait for sat to start curing them)

I think its from what looks like the drivers wishbone this hits a 1'' by 2'' rubber block on the passenger side but none on drivers is this the problem should i have two one either side?

Hi Ryan, both mine have been missing for years and never caused a problem. When you heard the clunk was it on full lock by any chance???? if so a nice dollop of grease on the steering lock stops will do the trick.

i get the same problem when the steerings on full lock. they are cheap to replace but not as cheap as a big helping of grease instead!!

nar boys,
a diff noise than them, on mine (steer stops) they more grind and bang,
this noise is more going over a pot hole and bang.
maybe my shockers are on the way out and its allowing them to travel and hit the stops too easy, whats best way of checking shocks

Have you reset your ride height? People have reported bottoming out on trucks that have soggy bars. Your sills should be approximately level, theres a more scientific way to measure it but as a quick guide level will do. If you look around a many torsion bar sprung 4x4s sag and go nose down with age, T2s and Pajeros for example. Mine was 40mm too low to give you some idea.

Could also be the anti roll bar drop links, these can get noisy with age, as can any of the ball joints of course but these are a prime suspect.

haven't reset owt, changed one of them drop links apx 8mths ago others not looking too bad, will look at level tom, do think it looks low on drivers as looking from rear, just had rear shocks done apx 3mths back

looked at car on level looks apx 1" lower on front end, now i've 5' oxy acet bottles in it its sitting level!
