rough at low revs 2005 T2

I have a fault with a LWB T2 it is hesitant, lumpy, and smokey when you rev it it while it is standing still, but under load it seems fine :nenau

any ideas?

try the injection pump outlet pressure regulator.
it is called the overflow restrictor valve, see my other post (fault codes loss of power under load) about this, poor starting as well?

simple test is to fold return pipe in half, alow pressure to build, and see if fault goes, one other member has tried this, i recons new valve fixed a fault he has been tracing for 2 years

no, starts bang on, no loss of power under load, drives lovely, Just rough when you rev it when it's standing, and a bit of white smoke. It's just straight diesel in it. Could it even be the number 1 injector?

no it's outside of what i would expect for normal, don't forget i drive one of these every day and have owned several over the years :thumb2
