Well my top coil spring mount failed with a bang a few weeks back, thought it might fail on the mot due last weekend. I guess it wanted to come early :lol

Lifted the boot carpet, Expected a few holes but not as much as I did find.

Had to options fix the truck or buy a cheap car :nenau

So decided to have a go at fixing it, So far spent half a day on it and have the mount ready to weld to the chassis today.

Might have to weld the front radiator support and body mounts.

Good luck with the repairs mate, I'm sure you know what you're doing :thumb2

Haha sooooo familiar, half way through similar rot repairs for mot but not had a problem with the spring mounting yet.

So glad I'm past all that rot stuff :lol
Good luck Fez you'll have it :D
Only a few weeks now though

Wow that would make me feel gutted !

All credit to you for doing your own repair !

I would be having a good dig round that tubular X member that you can see now the floor is removed, I had one that separated from the chassis side rail and it holds the axle in place, and that was after I had a garage weld a plate on it as at the time I had a bad back and could not do it, that was before I had my hoist of course, Rick

Another half day done on it yesterday, Slow progress and forgot how brutal the work is :(

Think I have another full days work on it to go and will do as soon as the weather gets better?

Yeah that's looking good Fez. Wish mine was a quick to do, still got some time off work and I'm under shelter so will hopefully get some done this afternoon.

I'm sure you will soon nail it Fez:thumb2
Nice bit of fabrication and welding you've done there
