I've been enjoying the Black pearl so much of late I broke it again :doh
Nothing aweful , just the ruddy ARB links again.
A few years back I made some rose jointed ones and they've been pretty good really, miles better than std that's for sure. Running 35s though is pushing every boundary and of late my rose jointed drop links pulled the polly bushes to bits again, so time for a Fri night mod me thinks :D
First off one needs, a pair of male and female 1/2" rose joints. A couple of 1/2" HT bolts and a couple of lock nuts .

Next I need to shorten the female one by 20mm ( this still leaves plenty of thread , one and half times diameter and all that )

Then ofcourse the same off the male end

Tidy up the ends etc and joint together like this

Now let there be union :naughty

I've opposed the two of them through 90 degrees so now I don't need any bushes , ever :clap
Instead of a bolt up through the bottom arm and bush munching  I just need to make a bracket instead. Found some off cuts in the heap that'll do nicely.

Cut them up into L brackets, and drill a hole through them for the bottom rose joint and weld onto the arm ;)

Then it's simply a bolt and miss-alignment washer at the top into the ARB and a bolt through the bottom :)

Now then, this plan of mine also allows me a quick disconnect system too :naughty
I'll make the bottom bolt held in by an R pin so I can take it out quickly and then zip tie the rose joints to the ARB

So for offroading I can have all my flex but then on the way home I can go round corners again like ordinary folk do :lol

So far so good anyway

Welding goes without saying uncle, it'll be his son. I hear if Pete tries to weld it's like pigeon poop:lol

This sort of work is slowly fading away :(

People that can look at a problem & figure a good solution.
There's far too much of this lets plug it in, see what the codes say.
Looks like we'll have to remove, replace & throw away, then repeat & repeat like so

I like the way you think :thumb2 :thumb2
