After a lot of deliberation I finally decided on the Howling Moon RTT for the simple reason that it has a heavier canvas than the cheaper Chinese tents, I would think that it has a better build quality than the Chineses jobbies too.
I think it's fair to say that it'll go from this.

I was hoping to have a few minutes to myself playing with the tent and the camera. Unfortunately everyone wanted a chat, and I couldn't not allow the interested have a good look at it. And there were thumbs up from everyone.
I'm impressed with the build quality, it seemed quite stable in the breeze today. The only odd bit is the floating sensation as the vehicle suspension reacts to the movement upsatairs. With the windows closed, it's proper dark inside, so no more sleep depravation in the summer. The mattress seems to be thick enough for a good night's sleep/ There are six windows for when you want a view or more light inside and the overhang is plenty for the cooking area.
Roofrack was bespoke from SDV in Clitheroe, who did a top job.
Now to look for a 3.6m awning to cover the side of the vehicle from tent to front door.
Am I happy with it?
Absobloodylutely! :clap
Now to look at the suspension upgrade. :doh
