After a lot of searching and several dead ends I found someone who would make a roofrack and also a roof top tent that wouldn't get me awake the minute the sun rises.
I spoke with the guys at SDV Clitheroe who mentioned that rivnuts might be a leakage problem and I've been thinking about a LHD Terrano, so I ended up with a rack that can be moved from car to car.
The tent is a Howling Moon Stargazer that has a proper thick fabric that means that it's nice and dark inside the tent, even in daylight.
Well chuffed and Happy Christmas to me!

This means that I'm thinking of selling the tent that I had for the rear of the car that I bought from Decathlon last summer.

With regards to the rivnuts, you can buy "Blind" ones, which do not have a hole that goes right through... I used M8 Stainless Steel ones on the roof's of our cars, and sealed them in with Tiger seal. I then use Copper slip when I put the bolts in, to help stop water running down the threads and welling in the bottom. Had them on my car for over 4 years, with no problems, and they undo with out any problems.

South African heavy canvas.
Complete morning blackout!
Good choice Simon.:thumb2

Nice one fella, I gotta admit mate I thought this would be 2018 :bow respect

Howling moon awnings, awesome quality and worth more than the truck :lol, and you will probably have it longer than the truck.
