My roof lining is looking a bit worse for wear, no physical damage to it but lots of black marks etc

I can't seem to find a replacement either that's any better :nenau

My question is, if I took it out, is there anything I could paint/spray it with to give it a new lease of life and look respectable?

I remember doing this to one in my fiesta back in the day and every time you touched it you were coated in a fine black powder lol

Black would be the colour of preference, any ideas guys

Do the same as I did on my boat hull.

Use van lining carpet, it's thin, stretches around corners etc.

Use high temperature spray adhesive, better than standard ones, start in the middle, spray adhesive as you go, working outwards. the stretch will allow you to get into recesses, ie handle recesses, and if you have a sun roof, take it through the gap and glue down on the other side, them refit the trim.

It will look fantastic.

Any colour you want.

I bought mine from Martrim in Sandbach, Cheshire, but plenty on ebay.

There are some fabric dyes/sprays on the market or you could just use a rattle can like a lot of the young'uns are doing:augie If you do retrim it you have so many options of the type of fabric or even leather look fabric but as Rustic has said get the good high temp glue as the normal spray glue etc will give up as soon as there is a lot of heat inside the truck:doh
