Back to Ricks gaff again

Nissan'so stupid ideas... All the earth points were painted.... Only continuity was through the rusty bolts themselves... All the o ring styles were pointless, so Rick cleaned em all up and took off the paint

We also tackled earth points in drivers and passenger footwell too :sly

We didn't find my ecu, it's not in the old skool place, must be in the dash on the new ones? :nenau

The only thing Rick noticed when my bonnet was up and I moved was my battery not secure, we suspected this may have been causing my issues :nenau
Time will tell.

We also used the awesome ramp too and spotted a few bits underneath. Greased relevant bit of my clutch internal, feels like brand new again

Tightened up one of my front arbs and lubed em too.

On full stretch the diff breather hose was quite stretched too!

:lol cheers dude, nah she's been pretty good and put up with lot of abuse, I've done a cv, a battery, need a headlight now getting on Monday...

I've spent loads but mainly on mods ect

If it's not your daily drive, then mod the fook out of it.But has bin said before it has to be road legal.

You had to get poor Rick to do your earths:eek::doh posted it before but the ECU is behind the cubby hole in front of the gear sticks under the dash about 3" above the transmission tunnel on the later ones. If you get a torch & crawl into the foot wells you'll spot it behind the dash it's a big silver thing with losts of wires coming from it:lol

Ahh damn, wondered where it was, yes rick made it much better than could have ever done, and also has the tools, the one I removed was actually spot welded to the truck, took 30 mins of wrestling :doh

Rick came along and fixed it in 3...

humour me, if it was spot welded then I would expect a better electrical connection than bolting, why remove it
Answers?

Alex was talking about the small earth near the main body earth, when he undid it the square nut underside became detached and he struggled to get it off and then back on again, I simply removed it, cleaned the paint off for the brass terminal and replaced the square spot weld nut for a 10 mm one that you can get a spanner on, bit of grease and all was well, Rick

Thanks for the update

Yeah as my old signature used to suggest, let me loose with a spanner and bad things happen. I like to learn, but in the safety of a professional like rick :lol

That way when I foob it up Rick is there to laugh at me and then save me :doh
