Has anyone fitted reversing sensors to their T2, and if so, does the spare wheel and/or the tow bar create a problem i.e. do the sensors pick them up as an obstruction?

I fitted a surface mount pair, on the rear bumper of my Mk I maverick, they are on the centre line of the rear lights but in board so the wire comes from the slight gap between the light cluster and the bumper.

I tried several places, but this I found was the best place all round.:thumbs

when you hit summat, youve gone too far .... who needs sensors ? :lol

Put one on the front too.:lol
Sounds like a plan!
The set I have has four sensors, each of which requires a 20mm or so hole to be cut - think I'll just fit two of them below the rear lights as you have done, hopefully they will be far enough away from the spare wheel and the towbar to prevent the sensors from "seeing" them.

I just got a rear view camera instead, much more versatile and 19 quid on fleabay. Switches on with reverse and you view it on your sat nav. OR in my case an LCD screened rear view mirror 28 quid fleabay. :D
