return of the dreaded rattle

i thought my tinny rattle had gone .......... nope , its back ( and louder ) ....it seems to be coming from the exhaust so im gonna take it to a quick fit type place tomorrow to check, its gotta be ok , im going on holiday on wednesday fgs.... dont want it dropping off down the m1

your joking? we found the rattle!! i did leave one clip on though dont forget, i bet its that mate, bet its worked its way loose
kwik fit wont fix it cos it aint the exhaust, its that clip, does it sound the same as before? problem is i cant get up before wednesday, well, maybe i can a big push but if you do go to kwik fit, tell them to check and remove that clip FIRST because you are running the risk of getting ripped off...

the strange thing is , it seems to get worse when the engine is warm / hot , sheila said it seems to be coming from the exhaust..... but then again she is female :augie ...... but its really loud when the car is hot ..... or when you turn sharply ( also when the car is hot ) ..... i really have to get this sorted tomorrow even if its a complete new exhaust .... we set off at around 10 am on wednesday ....why does things like this happen when you go on holiday fgs

Pete, seriously, you are describing exactly the same problem as before. get a neighbour to get underneath when its cool, and remove that clip. drivers side, look up past the oil cooler and along, the clip is more or less in line with the wheel. it goes over both pipes, easy enough to see.. failing that, if you dont get it sorted tomorrow, ill pop over tomorrow night, but itll be a quick visit matey! sure, have kwik fit verify everything is ok, but im 100% convinced its that clip, i should have removed it but i wanted to see if anyone knew what it was..
