Replacement NATS Keys from eBay

am looking to get replacement keys for my Terrano 2 1999 2.7 Tdi, to many to choose from on eBay, and am not sure what i should be buying, looking for advice on what i should be buying, and am i correct in thinking once you have a blank key cut that works in the ignition you can code the keys yourself? :nenau

I don't think it's that easy, my later (2005) key does reprogram to open the doors but will not start the engine so I have to take it to the dealers

have looking in the nissan servive manual and database on forum and it gives you a step by step guide to reprograming, just got to find a key with a transponder in it, i think?, thanks for the heads up though:thumbs

Yeah, I used that and it does program my new key, but will not allow the engine to start, I was told by the the dealers that I have to take the car into them so they can rob me and plug into their computer to reprogram the chip in the key.
My key is different to the old NATS key that my 2001 terry had, so yours may be Ok
