replaced matrix now airbag light on

Hi all
Well I have spent two days replacing my heater matrix - still got the two lower panels and the stereo to go back in.
Just paranoid its still leaking though lol
Only bad point the bulb behing my heater direction control is now dead and the airbag light is flashing (I did disconnet battery to do the fix and obviously had to disconnet the airbag wires.

Well done, there are various fixes for the airbag light but sadly none worked for me so it was trip to local garage with diagnostic kit, (most have it today) and he sorted it in 20 mins, charged me £20 so I was happy enough as MOT was due, Rick

same thing happened when I did the matrix on my sons Lupo, I bought a code reader that could read and reset VW srs codes which are the codes a aribag controller throws out, you need a machine that can read and reset

you may have to do a bit of research but the one i bought for the Lupo reset the airbag light no problems

I personally ran the car with the dashboard still out and just the instrument cluster connected so i could start and test for leaks before I committed to refitting the dash

Try giving the airbag connectors a spray with electrical cleaner, I had the flashing light, but the download fix worked for me :thumb2
