hi guys

can i remove the front stabilizer link bars for a short time as they are pissing me beyond belief ?

i will be replacing them with poly bushes including poly bush anti roll bar bushes but at the mo they are completly shot and the rattling is driving me mad

i want to do all the link bars and arb bushes front and rear all in one go along with shock absorbers so im collecting all the bits so will be another week or so.

i just need to know if it will be safe on a temporory basis ?

if they are that shot, they are doing very little anyway. except damage other stuff.

just dont throw it about as much..

untill you get used to it

Just use plenty of caution entering the corners :augie 'cause it WILL roll like a jelly, but wont actually fall off the bend :thumbs

.

thanks for the quick responses guys another quick question how easy is it to change a front shock absorber ?

As long as the bottom bolt isn't siezed then they're dead easy, but a snug fit through the top arm . You may need some string or wire to keep the new ones closed down though:D

...unless you find yourself having to brake hard at the same time, in which case you stand a very good chance of entering the shrubbery...

Its not recommended TBH unless you know the foibles of this truck really well and even then its not sensible unless really necessary or offroading. And if you had the misfortune to be involved in a serious accident that wasn't your fault, well guess what, once the accident investigators found the state of your front suspension you'd definitely cop some blame I'd say...

I'm not being a killjoy, just a general "management wouldn't approve" disclaimer in case anyone is tempted to try it out just for the crack, and then blame the site....:question

I'm sure Nik will soon find out whay the ARB is there in the first place LOL lets just hope its not the hard way!
