I discovered some starting rust on my Terrano II frame.
Does anyone know a good chemical for removing this?
Have searched the web for some rust converter, but has anyone tried this and can comment it?
I was hoping for something that does not require elbow grease.
A easy spray on stuff is preferred
I can imagine Norway is quite harsh on the old Terrano :bow
I would think the british weather is just as hard on the car as the norwegian :naughty
I think the only difference is that we have alot colder and more snow.
Have ordered me some Bilt Hambers Deox Gel and Hydrate80.
Read some british forums and they seems to be quite good.
If not, i'll try the fe-123.
The rust is external on the frame. (although the outer sill is rusted trough.)
We have regular applications of Salt on our roads, which accelerates rust.:doh
What do they use in Norway? or do they only rely on studded tyres?
Rustic
I use Bilt Hamber products and find them very good at killing rust, you then need their body wax to protect to whole lot again
So after i used the rust treatment, i have to apply the body wax?
Is this to prevent the rust not to return?
In south of Norway, they use salt and non studded tyres.
But i live ALL the way up north, and here the salt is mostly form the sea.
So we use only studded tyres.
Some sort of engine warmer I would have thought
