OK I know these arms will be on splines, I've removed the 14mm nut and plastic cap. Soaked them in WD but I just can't seem to get the arm and pivot to part company. I don't want to break the pivots as all I'm doing is checking for a water leak.

They are on a tapper, just fold the arm out and wiggle it at 90 deg they should come off fairly easily, tapping with a bit of 2 X 1 whilst putting a bit of twist on the arm is another method, just pull they will come off, Rick

To remove mine I made a tool, I looked at Machine mart, they have a tool, I made a miniature G clamp, with a fork at the bottom,to go under the arm, the top of the clamp, was just a hole with an M8 bolt with a nut underneath,
the bolt pressed on the shaft.
Stop the nut turning and tighten the bolt and off they pop. Doesn't take much effort.
The metal I used was a piece of galvanised roof straps from wickes.
Good luck.
Best regards, rustic

Ya wont brake em M8, as above just a bit or umph & they will come off :thumbs

Well fixed water leak now but I do want to remove the scuttle panel to clean it out so these arms will have to come off for that.

Thanks
