Hi there,

Can anybody tell me where I can buy a 2nd remote locking fob for my Beast?

Thanks in advance.

I've got two spare if they are the same type with the black and red button?

I got a secondhand key on Ebay. That said, I'm not using it yet. The key and truck are synced so the doors unlock. I bought a new key from a local locksmith. A new case on Ebay. Final part is an immobiliser chip, cloned from the one I have. Timpsons do this apparently.

My keys are the NATS ones with the Y shaped, snap on key part. Short blade. Blue immobiliser chip IIRC.

Ebay or breakers. If you have one already can you post a photo of it please as terranos had several different types.

look on the back of the fob you have and read the meg then get another with the same frquancy.

Got my new tezzer "05 plate earlier this year and the fob didn't work (its the NATS one with buttons on the key) so followed the guide I found on here to sync it and hey presto, so then I dug out my old one from my "98 plate maverick (separate fob with red and black buttons) synced them both following the guide and both worked.
Nearly choked on my coffee when I successfully tried it, not sure if that helps or not.
Good luck!

Would you mind reporting back about Timpsons when you’ve been please.

Cheers
Will do. However, if you've followed my posting history you'll know I have an almost sloth like approach to fixing annoyances. I only get focused on getting the new chip when I'm desperately trying to find the only working key and I'm running late. I get super committed.... and then I find the key.

But this is the best way to go :thumbs

This is the one I have got:

Interesting!!!

Never seen a Ford one before, always Nissan ones.

There's 2 different frequencies 418MHz and 433MHz, just need to make sure that you have the right one for your truck.

Mine was an 1996 terrano with that style of fob. As said there’s two different frequencies for those. Try opening yours up and see if it tells you what frequency.

Let’s take a step back though, what’s wrong with yours?

I have found that the button contacts get dirty, I have successfully cleaned a couple, also the frequency is not on the pcb but can be found on the unit in the car usually to the left of the steering column, black box with "Siemens" on it, Rick
