Just a quickie wondering if anyone knows how to set the remote fobs to either unlock everything with one click or unlock drivers door with first click and then a second click to unlock all the other doors?

My 3 litre has two keys, one of them unlocks all with one click and the other key unlocks drivers door with one click and two clicks for the rest of the doors. My old 99 simple unlocks all doors as have all my previous trucks but I would like the single click drivers door and then a second click for everything else.

my 3l is 1click for drivers door then 2 clicks for all, both keys.

I hope you find the answer to this.

Suz's car takes 2 clicks, where as mine does it in one. but on her car, both remotes take 2 clicks, and one is a replacement control, so effectively she has had 3 all do the same. I thought it was just related to the ECU and year.

That's a good point that, it could be a bosch/hitatchi thing :nenau

Got this sorted out, it’s a feature of the later comfort and control module. This “anti hijack” feature can be enabled for individual keys which is currently how my 3 litre is setup. To enable or disable this feature press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds (you don’t get any kind of indication that this is doing anything such as hazard lights flashing). So now I have set both my keys to anti hijack which unlocks only drivers door with single click, a second click for the rest of the doors unlocking.
I’ve tried this on my older 99 truck but this doesn’t work. Now I’m wondering if I can fit the comfort and control module from a later truck into my older truck? Suppose the NATs ECU will cause problems if I did.

That sounds easy Jim.
My fob setup for the Patrol is the same as you now have yours.
My fob rubber buttons are wearing thin though.
