Daft question time!

Been thinking the square headed key that came with my 05 plate truck seemed better and more hard wearing than the oval type that is with my project truck, don't confuse this type with the seperate key fob type on my r plate truck.

So question is that all three types have the same programming procedure. So are they all interchangeable too. So I could programme up the later square headed key with say my 99 or my 96?.

Profiles of the key is the same just slightly different to fit into the heads and I know the immobiliser chip is obviously programmed to suit the truck but I'm thinking about the remote locking/alarm plip.

The chip can easily be swapped over:thumbs My key is 433MHz there is another code but i'll PM you it Jim just in case it's info for a new key to be made up:nenau

new keyfob still wont work!

Hello, hope you can help, i have a terrano 2 02 plate 3.0 ....the keyfob was intermittent working the alarm so took it to locksmith and he put new battery in, however it does not work at all now, tried reprograming it key in ignitio 6 times pressing unlock and lock etc, the hazard lights flash twice but nothing after that, i have ordered a second hand one and tried programming that and just the same, the central locking does work and the car will lock by the key, but flashes hazzards when i open car until i start the car....any ideas??! thanks guys

after your lights flash twice (ignition off) press the unlock button and hold, then press the lock button 3 times then release the unlock button, lights should flash once, then turn ign on and lights should flash twice, Rick
